FISITA offers young engineers under the age of 35 the opportunity to participate in a two-week Travelling Fellowship Programme from 08 -19 September 2008. The first week (08 - 13) will consist of visits to various automotive industry sites. During the second week (14 - 19), participants will join the FISITA 2008Congress.
Tour highlights during the first week include:
- Visits to local automotive plants and museums.
- Visits to places of interest.
- Sightseeing tour of Munich and surrounding district.
Each FISITA national member society is responsible for selecting the candidate(s) for its country.
Applicants are advised to check deadlines for in-country selection with their national member society. Each national member society selects the candidate(s) for their country and sends the application form(s) to fisita2008@vdi.de by 31 March 2008. Applications must be accompanied by paper abstracts (not more than 10 lines) and sent to the appropriate national member society.
The FISITA 2008 Organising Committee will select a limited number of participants and inform applicants of their decision by early May. Final Papers must be submitted to fisita2008@vdi.de by 13 June 2008.
All costs associated with the technical tours during the Travelling Fellowship Programme (including local transportation and selected meals etc.) are the responsibility of the VDI. Transport costs to and from Munich and accommodation expenses during the period of the Travelling Fellowship Programme are covered by the national member society. Travelling Fellows are eligible for a 50% fee reduction for the main congress.
